Which award Butter received
Sky News's September 13, 2021 ceremony report identifies BTS accepting the Best K-pop award for Butter. The award concerned that category at the MTV Video Music Awards, rather than a universal ranking of every recording released that year.
A song can be nominated in several categories, and a group's award may recognize a different aspect of its work from an individual video award. A complete awards account should name the ceremony, year, category and winning work rather than simply say an artist won everything.

A category result is not a sales count or a streaming-listener total. Those measures can be valuable, but they answer different questions. The Weeknd's Spotify milestone offers a concrete comparison: its significance depended on a platform metric and a measurement date, while the VMA result belongs to a particular ceremony.
This historical award did not announce a permanent end to BTS's group work. The linked guide follows the later solo and military-service chapter without converting individual projects into an unsupported breakup claim.
