What the local report described
Yonhap's May 12, 2023 account describes ceiling and stage-area finishing material falling in an elementary-school gymnasium in Yeosu, South Korea. A teacher and 13 pupils were injured. The report said the injuries were classified as minor after assessment. It described physical-education class taking place around the stage when the material fell.

A building's interior finish and its load-bearing roof are different components. The contemporary description does not justify claiming that the whole gymnasium roof collapsed. The school closed the gym for checks and shortened the school day, while police were investigating the circumstances. That response is different from a final finding that a particular contractor or design caused the failure.
Accident reporting should preserve the location, affected component and confirmed injuries while keeping responsibility questions open until supported.
