Australia introduced its Digital Duty of Care bill to Parliament on Thursday. The proposal would require online services to reduce serious harms and would let social-media users over 16 choose between recommended content and a feed of accounts they follow. Consultation on the proposed feed rule is open. Introduction is not enactment, and the option is not being described as available worldwide or already active.
