Taylor Swift’s Patient Zero extends its UK chart lead to three weeks
The October 16 chart keeps Swift at No. 1, while a three-track streaming single offers another way to hear the song.

Taylor Swift’s Patient Zero remains the United Kingdom’s No. 1 single for a third consecutive week, according to the Official Charts Company’s latest weekly results.
The chart covers October 16–22, 2026. Jamie Miller’s Babydoll is second and Ashe’s Stop The Wedding! is third. The positions describe the UK singles ranking; they are not a new announcement about the U.S. Billboard charts.
Another way to hear the single
Apple Music lists a three-track Patient Zero single dated October 16, running about 11 minutes. The release arrives after a separate piano edition was listed on the service on October 9. Those dates distinguish the latest streaming package from the earlier individual releases.
For listeners, the practical distinction is between a song’s original release and later editions of the same song. An acoustic arrangement, a piano version and a new package do not necessarily represent three newly written songs.
What the ranking measures
The Official Charts Company combines eligible audio and video streams with downloads and physical singles purchases for its weekly UK ranking. A No. 1 position identifies the top song under those rules for that period. It is not a forecast of next week’s result, and it does not establish why any artist chose a particular release date.
