The World Food Programme warned October 16 that disruption around Hormuz, Bab al-Mandab and the Black Sea is raising food-system costs and affecting aid cargo bound for Yemen, Sudan and the Horn of Africa.
WFP said 16 countries recorded food inflation above 15% in September, versus ten in January. It urged reliable funding, humanitarian access and assistance before forecast disasters strike.
