The Philadelphia Eagles placed Jalen Hurts on injured reserve Saturday because of a superficial blood clot in his calf, the team announced. Tanner McKee is set to start against Carolina on Sunday.
The official roster move supersedes earlier reports that Philadelphia planned to keep Hurts off injured reserve. The Eagles also signed running back Jaydon Blue to the active roster. They had added quarterback Joe Milton on October 16.
This is an immediate change in Philadelphia’s available roster. The announcement does not establish a recovery date for Hurts or a result for Sunday’s game.
