Walmart combines Walmart+ and Sam’s Club Plus for $120 a year: what to check
The annual bundle launches October 20. Existing members have different upgrade options, and the advertised saving compares buying both full-price memberships.

What to know
- The combined annual price is $120 plus applicable taxes.
- Existing annual Walmart+ members can switch for an additional $22 a year, the announcement says.
- Sam’s Club Plus members can activate Walmart+ without an additional charge.
- The bundle has no monthly payment option or trial.
Walmart is combining Walmart+ and Sam’s Club Plus in a $120 annual membership offer announced Tuesday on Good Morning America. The price is before applicable taxes and compares with $218 for the two memberships purchased separately, according to the announcement.
What the offer includes
CEO John Furner described the package in an interview with ABC News’ Rebecca Jarvis. Benefits include Sam’s Club access, delivery on eligible orders, participating gas-station discounts and a choice of Peacock or Paramount+.
The reported fuel benefit is 10 cents per gallon at more than 17,000 participating stations. Qualifying orders and participating locations matter: a membership benefit is not a promise that every purchase or delivery is free.
How to judge the saving
The $98 difference is the comparison with purchasing both memberships at the stated separate prices. It is not a guaranteed saving against whatever a household currently pays. Someone using only one service, or receiving a separate discount, needs a different comparison.
Before switching, compare the actual upgrade and renewal terms shown in your account with the benefits you use. The relevant question is whether the combined annual cost replaces spending you already make, rather than adds a second service you do not need.
